Lanarkshire Branch regret to inform you of the death of retired Detective Constable Andrew ‘Andy’ Farrell, aged 64 years, at home, on Monday, 6 February 2017, after a short illness.
Andy joined Lanarkshire Constabulary in January 1972, then, on amalgamation, Strathclyde Police in April 1975,He transferred to the CID and subsequently worked in Glasgow – North and South. He also worked in the Scottish Crime Squad. He retired in April 2001, after over 29 years’ police service. .
Andy is survived by partner and son
