Helping A Fallen Officer's Family
On August 10, 2007 at 0120 hours, Sgt. Chris Reyka, while on patrol was brutally murdered in a hail of bullets. He was ambushed as he exited his patrol car to check a suspicious vehicle. Chris leaves behind a lovely wife, four children, one of whom is a United States Marine (Chris was a Marine and now his eldest son is hoping to enter the police academy, following in his father’s footsteps), a grieving church, a devastated community, and scout troop. Chris and I were supervisors on the same shift and I was one of the first officers to arrive on the scene. In order to assist his family, I am donating 50 % of the author’s royalties from my book, Past the Uniform, to The Sergeant Christopher Reyka Education Fund established by the Broward Sheriff’s Office, Broward County, Florida.
The book would make a great gift for anyone wishing to enter the field of law enforcement as well as the general public. Veteran officers with years of experience would enjoy this book as they relate to the numerous adventures.

Timeshare for Sale
Two weeks timeshare in July at the McDonald Dona Lola resort in the Costa Del Sol that I am in the process of trying to sell if anyone is interested. The week numbers are no,s 29 and 30 and fall in the school hols every year.
The appartment is quite luxurious and is fitted with all mod cons leather suite separate dining suite etc and sleeps 4 comfortably. The list price according to McDonalds is

St. Andrews, Fife. Holiday Accomodation for Police Staff
The International Police Association have leased a three bedroom property in central St Andrews, which in turn will be available for rent to police staff. The property will be available from mid September. It comprises three bedrooms (two twin rooms and a family room with a double and bunk beds). Each room has a lock for security and privacy. There is a lounge, fully fitted kitchen and a toilet / shower room. The property is furnished to a very high standard, with a TV/ DVD/CD player in each room.
The rates are £10 per person per night (£5 for children aged 5 -16yrs; children under 5 free) for Members of the International Police Association. Non members rates are
£12 and £6 respectively. There is no minimal rental period, i.e. it can be rented for a day, weekend, week etc. Likewise there is no minimum occupancy, rooms can be rented on a single occupancy basis at no additional cost beyond the per person rate.
